What Our Appen Contributors Are Working On
At Appen, we work with our contributors to build training datasets for our customers. A training dataset is used to train AI algorithms and machine learning models. AI must be trained on a dataset in order to return accurate results. The higher the quality and more representative the training dataset, the better the algorithm will run.
To create these datasets, we deal with millions of data points. To help us accurately and efficiently label or annotate each piece of data, we work with contributors around the world. Contributors work where they want and on their schedule and can choose which projects they want to work on. This flexibility and our fair pay got us the award of #1 company with remote jobs by FlexJobs.

Meet: Hediye Cengiz
Our featured contributor is Hediye Cengiz, a mother of two daughters living in Turkey. Hediye loves to spend time reading books, traveling, and learning languages. She also enjoys spoiling her cute cat. Hediye is currently studying Arabic language and literature at Ankara University. She speaks Turkish, Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Tamazight.
What Appen Projects Hediye is Working On
Many contributors choose to work for Appen because it offers them choice and flexibility. Appen contributors get to choose which projects they want to work on. Hediye is currently working on the Storm and Shetone projects with Appen focusing on content relevance. She has been working with Appen for three years so far.
